Our distribution policy is one of quality (like the publication itself) and not just quantity. The majority of publications that offer you high print-runs are usually over saturated with advertising and are give-aways. Not many of these publications are kept by the general public, and most end up in the bin.
Our publication is a quality book of over 350 pages with limited advertising that the consumer is buying at a price of up to R230.00 (VAT incl). When you spend R230 you do not throw the book away! Our ‘shelf-life’ is very long, and although the publication will be updated annually most people keep the book for a lifetime, or until they fall apart from overuse!
The initial print-run will be 11 000 copies, more will be printed if the demand warrants it.
The distribution will be as follows:
- 250 heavy-duty copies, ruggedly bound, to be used for reference at all the major information offices around
South Africa.
- 110 books to go to South African Tourism for distribution to the overseas offices.
- 140 books to go to the public libraries as reference copies.
- 300 books for reference to the Tourism Trade.
- 1 600 books are to be given to advertisers for reference to visitors and to sell.
- 3 600 copies are to be sold at retail bookshops.
- 3 000 books to education facilities (colleges and universities) and tour guides.
- 1 000 direct sales through the internet exposure and from our offices.
- 1 000 books to be sold at information offices.
